What are porcelain veneers?

A porcelain veneer is a restoration designed to improve your smile. It is an extremely thin porcelain restoration that bonds to the front of your tooth. They are used to change the shape, color, size, and symmetry of your teeth and smile. The process of creating veneers that fit one’s smile is very involved. Each patient will be examined carefully to produce a predictable result, both aesthetically and functionally.

Your initial consult is an extremely important visit for your smile makeover. Before we design your new smile, it’s extremely important for us to have a genuine open dialogue discussing your goals and vision for your new smile. Once we establish your goals, we can then proceed to examining the health of your teeth with a comprehensive exam including x-rays to address and treat any active disease. We then take a series of intra-oral and extra-oral photos as well as an iTero digital scan of your teeth to better communicate our vision with the lab. The iTero scan of your existing teeth will be used as a template to reshape and design your new smile. After the planning phase is complete, we will schedule a second consult and show you the proposed outcome of your treatment on 3d printed models. This allows you to visualize what the ultimate product will look like before committing to any treatment.
